MAGDALENA TUL, "Face The Day"

Over the course of only six songs and 20 minutes on her dynamic, multi-faceted EP Signature of Soul, Polish R&B/pop singer Magdalena Tul showcases different sides of her musical personality – but always with an upbeat mindset and enduring smile no matter the challenges she faces.

One minute she’s a sensual romantic minded woman who’s “Ready For Love” and confidently serenading her significant other with “If Loving You Is All I Ever Do,” while the next she’s taking charge of her emotions, empowered to choose joy and happiness when it’s time to “Face The Day.”

For those going through difficult trials in their lives, this latter tune – a high octane, horn fired, life affirming tune with a playfully swinging country-rock flair is the perfect emphatic pick me up. Tapping into a subtle spirituality, she sings that she was on her knees when she heard a voice saying, “Get up, up up.”

Maybe it’s the still small voice of God, maybe her own sheer determination, or a combination of both. Either way, she shows us with equal parts grace and confidence that we can overcome our self-doubts, overcome our fears and alter our fate. It’s a buoyant self-empowerment romp whose performance and exciting video shows off the fun, lighthearted side of Tul’s personality even while tackling a serious, deeply emotional theme.
